The Boston Celtic’s shook off their struggles against the Bucks last night with a 108-100 win in Beantown. Avery Bradley sure looks like he had fun while ending the 4 game losing streak to the Bucks with this insane behind the backboard shot. Bradley finished the game with 15 points on 6 of 12 shooting, Jordan Crawford led the Celtics with 25 points and five dimes.
Celtic’s star point guard, Rajon Rondo, hasn’t been involved in any trade rumors for a minute, but things may heat up again soon as he progresses in his rehabilitation get’s him closer to getting back to the court.
Rajon Rondo’s Recovery Progress
No luck for the clover. The Boston Celtics just announced they will be without newly acquired forward Jeff Green for the season because of a heart condition. Jeff will undergo surgery on January 9th to repair an aortic aneurysm. The Celtics believe that Jeff will be able to resume his NBA career next season with the team.
Danny Ainge had this to say,
While we are saddened that Jeff will not be able to play this season, the most important thing is his health, and we were fortunate to have access to an amazing team of specialists to evaluate Jeff’s case, the entire Celtics family supports Jeff during this difficult time in his career.
Green’s first season last year with the Celtics was a bit of a disappointment. Green was part of a trade that sent Kendrick Perkins to Oklahoma City. Green averaged only 9.8 ppg for the Celtics, down from his 15 ppg average his first to seasons with the Thunder. He did however have a career high in field goal percentage last year when he shot for 48.5% from the field.
The Celtics have now lost Big Baby along with Green and are still going to have to deal with the damaged pride of Rojon Rondo after Chris Paul trade talks surfaced for the guard.
